As a lawyer, he specializes in contract management for global energy, construction, and industrial projects, demonstrating extensive international legal proficiency.
He is fluent in three languages: Portuguese, English, and French, enabling effective communication in diverse settings.
He holds a law degree from the esteemed University of Paris X Nanterre, complemented by an LL.M in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Texas in Austin.
Certified Mediator since 2009 with a Graduate Portfolio Program Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He has authored various articles and book chapters on mediation and ADR, including the award-winning “Cross-Border Commercial Mediation.”
Co-founder and Vice-President of the ICFML – Instituto de Certificação e Formação de Mediadores Lusófonos, a non-profit organization dedicated to the training and certification of Portuguese-speaking mediators.
He is passionate about legal education, and teachescontract law, mediation, and negotiation at Portugal’s premier law schools.
