Four pillars
A working mediator’s toolkit — built across four interlocking pillars, taught in sequence and practised together.
A deep understanding of neutrality, confidentiality and active listening — the backbone of effective conflict resolution.
Advanced strategies to defuse tension, clarify misunderstandings and foster mutual respect between parties in conflict.
Tailor your approach to workplace, family, commercial, public and peace mediation — hierarchies, cultures, languages and time pressure.
Role-plays and simulations covering armed conflict, peace and security, humanitarian and disaster-relief contexts — practise before you’re in the room.
Start with IMC’s live online Professional Mediation Course, progress to international IMI and SIMI accreditation, then complete the university certificate pathway with ISM.
Complete the 40-hour Professional Mediation Course and become a certified, accredited IMC Professional Mediator — ready to practise in general disputes.
A one-hour on-site simulation in your workplace plus a written reflection. IMC facilitates your certificate from IMI and accreditation from SIMI.
A third certificate — a university diploma from the International School of Management. 60 hours of online self-study, included at no additional cost.
