Bio

Njabulo Buthelezi has an educational background in strategic communication and marketing which he completed at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He started his professional career in January 2017 where he joined an international educational consultancy. He spent the first four years of his career at the company working in South Africa, Botswana and Uganda. This fostered his passion for educational development in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has since worked in various capacities in education from the academic side to the business side of education.

Qualification

On the academic side, he has been involved in developing learner capabilities, supporting teachers and parents, helping them with different frameworks to support their children’s academic journeys. He has also been involved in training, having conducted over 450+ training sessions throughout his career.

On the business side, he has been involved in the strategic development of several educational businesses in a local and international context. He has been involved in career development with a particular focus on learnership and internship opportunities from a BBBEE/DEI perspective. He has also been involved in student recruitment where he connected talent students with bursary opportunities and work placement.

He has also contributed to business development efforts in a B2C and B2B context where he has raised millions of rands for various private institutions (private colleges). He has also represented the organizations he is associated with at various conferences, he has also conducted presentations for some of South Africa’s top business leaders and regularly conducts radio interviews on behalf of the companies he has represented.

Njabulo has travelled the African continent extensively with travel being his 3rd love after business and education. When he is not at work, he is likely in the bush feeding predators like lions and cheetahs, he loves the outdoors and enjoys the arts from theatre shows, art exhibitions and jazz shows. He is an avid sports supporter with a particular interest in athletics, football, rugby, basketball and cricket.
